The CCS is an ever growing indoor climbing series promoting colleges to form teams and be apart of a competition climbing community.  The CCS is broken into regions with a national championship competition at the end of the season. Brevard Rock Gym participates in the Appalachian Region, along with the colleges listed below on the schedule.  Individual climbers as well as teams are encouraged to take part in the whole circuit.

Our final session of Punk Rockers, our rock climbing camp for 11 to 14 year olds was AWESOME! The weather held nicely for us here in WNC and we were able to rock climb outside everyday of the week. From bouldering at the Northside of Looking Glass Rock, to finishing up the week with a great multi-pitch rock climbing route on the Southside of Looking Glass. Our rock climbing camp kids were great and just got stronger as the days went on!

At the end of every climbing team season we have a celebration.  In the Fall season we usually do a pizza party and in the Spring we usually do a cookout.  Our climbers and their families come together to play, socialize and celebrate their accomplishments from the season.  The climbing coaches give out our “famous” paper plate awards and give our sentimental, heart felt speeches. The Brevard Climbing Team is one of the proudest things we do at BRG.  We have worked with incredible kids and their families and seen amazing growth as climbers and as people of good character.
