JEREMY WHITWORTH- Owner/Guide/ Team Coach
Jeremy will not be typing the rest of this bio in third person. I started rock climbing when I was about 12 years old and since then have climbed all over the country as well as in Canada and Australia. Climbing has always been a good teacher over the years and my hope is to share that with other. I am a certified AMGA Single Pitch Instructor, have over a decade of experience in the wilderness education field and work hard to create a business that is as family owned and operated as it gets anymore, while maintaining the utmost professionalism. CAITLIN COFFEY-Manager
Caitlin has worked with kids in a variety of settings.She provides great support, does a lot of the behind the scenes at the gym and is often times the smiling face you meet when you first walk in BRG. Orginally from Upstate New York (as in she is basically Canadian), Caitlin has worked with kids in public and private schools, camps, after school programs… the list goes. Caitlin is great with climbers of all ages and works a lot with our School of Rock Day Camp. Oh yeah, and she is married to Jeremy!

LIZ WALKER GLAS-Jrs. Team Coach
Liz has worked for BRG since 2007. She currently is spending more time biking than climbing, though we don’t hold it against her. Liz is a Brevard College grad and has worked with kids in a variety of settings, including as our head Juniors Team coach. Liz is Miss Social and if you didn’t know her when you came in, she may be your best friend by the time you leave! Liz usually leaves BRG in the summers to teach Mtn. Biking at Camp Highrocks, but we are all glad to have her back for Fall through Spring.

KYLIE STAHL- Staff
Kylie was one of the first members of Brevard Climbing Team when it started in 2007. After some time on the team she eventually started working at Brevard Rock Gym and her smiling face as headed up birthday parties and welcomed climbers ever since. Kylie climbs with a fluid technique and does a phenomenal job working with our climbing teams, birthday parties and walk in guest.

DAN HORNE- Comp Team Coach
Dan loves climbing and sharing it with others. When you don’t see him at Brighter Day or out working his own business, Dan Dan the Carpetman, he is either climbing by himself with 3 crash pads or being a tour guide of the local boulder fields. Dan has bouldered all over the country and can hold is own at any sport climbing crag. Dan helped found the Brevard Climbing Team in 2007 and has been the driving force behinds it’s growth ever since. Dan recently competed in the Pro Comp at Earth Treks with Chris Sharma, Daniel Woods and other top names in climbing. (That’s right, the guy is strong enough to enter the “Pro” division.)

NATASHA FISCHER-Comp Team Coach
Natasha started climbing and walking around the same time. She has climbed all over the world. Natasha has spent a lot of time climbing in the Southeast, largely at Red River Gorge where she worked at the famous Miguels Pizza. She is one of the head coaches of our Comp Team and also guides and helps with day camp in the summers. She has been a competition climber herself and knows what it takes to have fun with competition climbing and take it to the next level.

MARCUS WEBB-Senior Guide
Marcus has been climbing and guiding in the Western North Carolina area for over six years. A Brevard College graduate, Marcus is one BRG’s senior guides and works with our day camp, private guided trips and handles the majority of our aid climbing courses. He has climbed all over the Southeast and in Yosemite and Red Rocks out West. Marcus was born and bread in South Georgia and you are sure to expeirence his southern charm on any given guided day. PETER EILAND- Senior Guide
Peter has been climbing all over the country for a decade. A graduate from Appalachian State, Peter knows the mountains of North Carolina like the back of his hand. One of the most personable guides you would ever want to meet, Peter hides his cards well as he has free ascents on some of Looking Glasses classic aid lines, such as Glass Menagerie. Peter has taken his AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Course and is taking his exam this spring. Peter is the lead instructor for Peter Eiland’s: Trad Camp and does private guiding as well.
